Learn how to add an image and best practices for troubleshooting image quality.
How to add/edit/delete an image
When you start adding an image, a pop-up window will appear, where you can select your image. You have some options here: you can choose a file from your computer, or you can use the menu on the left to select another way to add a photo.
After selecting your photo, you can cut, rotate, sharpen, or blur it. After editing, click "Save." If you don't want to make any edits, you can simply click "Skip."
Then click "Upload" to finalize your changes.
What are image size restrictions?
There are no image size restrictions; you can upload any image for any purpose.
If the image dimensions don't match what's needed, you'll be prompted to cut the image to the necessary dimensions during the uploading process.
That being said, while it's technically possible to upload images of any size, you will want to make sure that the image you're uploading is off sufficiently large size that it won't appear pixelated. So after uploading your image, take a look at it, and if it looks pixelated, try uploading a larger image.
Although you can upload images of any size, you will still want to make sure that they look good when uploaded. There are two things you should check for:
1. Make sure the image isn't pixelated. While there are no size restrictions, you'll still need to use your judgement when choosing which size images to use. For instance, if you upload a very small image to fill a large space, it will look pixelated.
A good rule of thumb is that the image shouldn't have to be enlarged/magnified when it's uploaded. So if you view the page where you want to upload the image on a desktop and open the image next to it, so long as the image is bigger than the place you want to upload the image, it shouldn't be pixelated.
2. Make sure the image contents fit the purpose. If you use an image featuring text, the text could be cut off. Similarly, if you use an image featuring a close-up of someone's face, that could be cut off. We recommend always checking to see what your uploaded images look like before moving on.
This help article could be greatly improved by including a size ratio and recommended minimum pixel size.
