How do I reset my password?
To reset your password
- Click "Sign In" in the upper right corner
- Select your sign in method
- Click the blue "Forgot Password or Create New Password" button
- Enter your email and click "Send Password Reset Link"
- Check your email for the password reset email (don't see it? Check spam!)
- When the password reset email arrives, click the link in it
How do I change my email?
- Click on your profile image in the upper right and then select "Preferences" from the drop-down
- Select "Account" from the menu on the left
- Under "Update your email address," click the blue "Update" button
- In the pop-up that appears, enter your new email address and then click "Update"
- You'll need to confirm your new email by clicking the link we'll send to your new address; once you've done so, we'll start sending notifications, etc., to your new email.
Can I hide my profile or limit my availability as a mentor?
Yes, you can!
- Click on your profile image in the upper right and then select "Preferences" from the drop-down
- Select "Privacy" from the menu on the left - here, you can decide how visible you'd like to make your profile
- Select "Availability" from the menu on the left - here, you can turn your availability on / off and, if you turn your availability on, specify how many meetings per month you'd like to be available for.
Note that, depending on your user type, your account may already be hidden! If you don't see the Availability and Privacy sections in Preferences, then your account is already invisible to other users.
How do I reorder profile fields like job history or education history?
Right now, profile fields are ordered automatically based on the order in which you input them, with the most recently entered items going to the top of the list.
How do I add or change my profile picture?
Want to update your image? You can do so from your Profile.
- Click on your profile image in the upper right and then select "Profile" from the drop-down
- Click the pencil icon in the upper left to open editing mode
- Click on the profile image itself to open a pop-up
- Using the upload or linking method of your choice, insert your image and use the tools to modify it as needed
- Click "Save" to close the pop-up
- Then click the green "Save" button to close out of editing mode
I need to share a document - what are my options?
It's not possible to attach documents to message threads within the platform. There are a couple other ways you can share documents, which we'll go over below:
- If you are in an active mentorship
- If My Documents is available on your platform
If you are in an active mentorship
- Go to your inbox
- Open the relevant message thread with your mentor/mentee
- Go to the "Shared Files" section of your mentorship
- You can choose to upload docs that are private to you or shared with your mentor/mentee
If My Documents is available on your platform
- Click on your profile image to open the profile drop-down menu
- From the menu, select My Documents (don't see this option? It may not be available for you)
- Click the blue "Add a New Document" button
- Follow the prompts to upload your document
- If you'd like to make this document to everyone who can see your profile, go ahead and publish it!
Is there a mobile app? How do I use the platform on my phone or tablet?
We don't currently have a mobile app, but we've designed the site to work well on phones and tablets as well as larger devices.
Below, we'll go over what connecting looks like on:
Browse network on desktop
Log into the platform and go to the Explore the Community tab (1).
Note that, depending on your user type (student, alumni, employer, friend of the university, faculty/staff, etc.), the Explore the Community tab may be called different things, such as Browse Alumni, Browse Candidates, etc.
You will see profile tiles of other community members in the center of the page (2). Scroll down to look through them, or narrow your search using the panel at the top (2). You can search by keyword or set filters.
When you see someone you'd like to connect with, click Let's Connect and follow the steps to send a message / schedule a meeting / etc.
Browse network on tablet
Log into the platform and go to the Explore the Community tab (1).
Note that the Explore the Community tab may be titled differently on your platform.
Here, you will see profile tiles of other community members. You can scroll down to look through member profiles (2), or you can use the search panel at the top to narrow your search by using keywords or filters.
When you see someone you'd like to connect with, click Let's Connect and follow the steps to send a message / schedule a meeting / etc.

Log into the platform and scroll through the top nav bar to find and click the Explore the Community tab (1).
Note that, depending on your user type (student, alumni, employer, friend of the university, faculty/staff, etc.), the Explore the Community tab may be called different things, such as Browse Alumni, Browse Candidates, etc.

How do I delete my account?
- Click on your profile image (1), and then, from the drop down menu, select My Preferences (2).
- From the menu on the left, select Account (3). Then find the Delete Your Account row and click Delete (4).

Other options
If you're not completely sure you want to delete your account, there are other options.
If you're getting too many mentoring requests but would still like to stay in touch with the community, consider simply changing your availability settings. You can limit your availability for mentorships and advising, or you can turn it off completely and simply use the platform as a way to network and keep in touch with fellow alumni.
If you're getting too many emails, you can alter your email preferences and remove yourself from the platform's email lists.
If you've experienced harassment on the platform, contact your program's manager and let them know so they can reprimand / remove the offender and you can continue to use the site!
