How you can use Resources
Our partners have used resources to provide a bank of helpful content to end-users. Posted resources have ranged from FAQs about how to use the platform to networking advice to job-hunting tips. Resources can be as general or as specific as you like, and you can create categories to group your resources as needed.
Resources Best Practice: Brand resources cohesively
To make your resources page extra-impactful, try branding it cohesively. Some of our partners have made customized images for the resource tiles, so all the tile images had similar but slightly different backgrounds.
Note that, if you're using Programs, you'll have another place for resources within each Program. So if you want to post resources for the community at large, use the main resources page, but if you want to post resources specific to a particular program, post them on the resources page within that program.

Each resource will be shown as a tile within the Resources admin tool, which you can click on to view the full resource. To add a new resource, click the blank "Add Resource" button in the top right.
You'll be able to choose to create one of the post types listed below.
- Link to another site
- Youtube Video
- Google Presentation
- File Upload
Next to the downtown for the post type you will also have the dropdown for which category you would like to place it in.
Depending on the type of resource you elect to post, the info you need to fill out may differ slightly. Typically, though, you'll need to add a thumbnail image and header image for the resource, decide whether or not you want it pinned to the top of the page, and select the user types to whom you'd like it to be visible. When it's set up to your satisfaction, remember to hit "Submit."
Your new resource will appear on the Resources page!
You can always return to edit mode for a resource by clicking the pencil icon toward the top right corner of the resource tile. This will reopen the resource editing fields and you can edit the fields as you would if you were first creating the resource.
Similarly, click the garbage icon button to the right of the resource you want to delete.
|Tip: Deletions are permanent, so if you think you might want to revive this resource later, we recommend simply making it invisible to all users by opening Edit mode, then scrolling down to the "Visible to Users" section and unchecking all the user type boxes. Once all the boxes are unchecked, no end-users will be able to see this resource.|

Categories can help you organize your resources. For instance, you could segment resources into Getting Started, FAQs, and Networking Advice categories – or whatever fits the needs of your community!
Note that it is not possible to limit category visibility to specific user types; that is, all user types will be able to see all categories you create (you can, however, limit visibility to specific user types for the individual articles within categories).
How to add a new category
Click the Category Tab
Click "Add Category" (0).
Your new category box will appear.
Then click the arrow icon order for this category or change the number in the box (1); this means choosing where on the list of categories it will appear; by default, the new category will be last on the list of categories.
You can delete the category by clicking the garbage icon. You can also rename the category by clicking the pencil icon. (2)
We recommend adding some resources to your category right away so it's not empty.
How to edit an existing category
You can always rename, reorder, or delete a category simply by choosing any of the icons next to the category.
If you're deleting a category, make sure to save any resources you'd like to preserve (you can do this by going into Edit mode for that resource, then copy-and-pasting its contents into a new resource in another category). When you delete a category, any resources remaining within it will not be preserved.
