Overview
Projects is an engaging tool that provides learners with guided support as they work to complete real-world experiential learning projects. Every project post helps build the bridge to opportunity. Posts by alumni or even parents can connect your community to opportunity.
Project Seeker Experience
Through Projects, your community’s collection of experiential learning opportunities is supported by a host of alumni and other external supporters. This helps catalyze career and skill development!
The Project Seeker steps are simple:
Click on the Jobs tab in the top navigation bar, then choose Explore Projects. Here, you can search, filter, and bookmark any relevant opportunities. Pay particular attention to any projects with a name listed underneath - these are community members with experience at that company who'd love to help!
To learn more, click the title of a position that interests you. Here, you'll find even more ways to leverage the power of your community. In the top right corner, you'll see the name of the project sponsor - the person who listed the project. You can check out their profile and even contact them if you'd like. You'll also notice three blurred profiles under the listing; these are community members who can help you complete the project. They'll be revealed after you're hired.
The project sponsor will receive and review your information. After being hired, you'll be sent a congratulatory email. Next, you'll receive an invitation in your inbox to begin a Projects Pathway which will guide you step-by-step through the process of completing a professional work project.
Now, the mentors who were previously blurred out will be visible, and you can choose mentors for your project. Feel free to ask any of your three mentor choices for help! Once you've messaged them, their information, along with the sponsor's, will be attached to the right side of your project page.
The Pathway will guide you through the process of completing and submitting your final project. Once your project has been completed and approved by the sponsor, you'll receive a Badge on your profile.
